Calligo is named “Highly Commended” MSP of the Year at the 2020 CRN Channel Awards
Out of 8 finalists, Calligo wins the Highly Commended prize for the most hotly-contested category
Last night, at the CRN Channel Awards 2020 virtual awards event, Calligo was awarded the Highly Commended prize in the MSP of the Year category.
The overwhelming theme of the event was the contribution of the technology industry, and of course resellers and MSPs in particular, in keeping the UK moving throughout the turmoil of 2020.
In those first weeks and beyond, vendors and distributors worked exceptionally hard to support the sudden need for remote working. Meanwhile managed services providers like ourselves sought to enable hundreds of companies, teams and individuals, many of whom had never considered their need for widespread remote working capabilities before.
New devices, connectivity, data access, communications and collaboration platforms all had to be configured and deployed, while addressing their impact on data security and governance, and of course training customers on their use. All this against a backdrop of logistical restrictions, business impact, social uncertainty, and of course concern for the health of colleagues, friends and family.
There were some remarkable stories of dedication and innovation, which we were proud to be part of. The requirements for our category of MSP of the Year for example included details of entrants’ performance during the height of the pandemic, for which we were able to submit our 94% customer satisfaction rate (against an industry benchmark of 92%). This contributed significantly to our Highly Commended win.
The judges were also struck by our growth, our focus on delivering continuous value and our customer testimonials. But most of all, they were impressed by our successful journey from managed cloud services to a wider portfolio of managed data services, focusing not on mere technology maintenance and helpdesk support, but on customers’ data – its continuous availability, security, efficiency, compliance and safety. Themes that have taken on new importance this year as ways of working have changed so dramatically.
While 2020 has been a turbulent year for everyone, this award has given us the opportunity to reflect on the importance of our Customer First attitude, and on the difference managed data services can make. All that remains to say is thank you, not only to our teams and partners, but most importantly to our customers for their support in this award and throughout the year.
