Gather a total understanding of the tools and applications your teams use, whether daily or occasionally.

Match these applications to the features of Microsoft 365, and identify the cross-over.

Analyse the non-Microsoft 365 tools you are paying for and their specific capabilities, and assess whether any additional capabilities beyond Microsoft 365’s are necessary and worth the additional investment.

Remove the unnecessary tools and applications in favour of an appropriate level of Microsoft 365 licence.

Ensure full user training on all relevant Microsoft 365 applications in order to prevent unnecessary tools being kept in place without authorisation i.e. Shadow IT.
