Julian is responsible for driving the strategy and vision for Calligo. When he founded Calligo in 2012, his vision was to create a business that would help organisations to drive real value through the proper use of data, with data privacy at its heart.  Since then, a kaleidoscope of new technology has allowed Calligo to deliver on this vision of a complete data journey for our clients, underpinned by cloud, to turn complex data into the significant asset it truly is.

Julian is an award winning leader with over 35 years’ experience in helping organisations streamline operations through the innovative application of technology. He has founded several start-up companies, including VirtualizeIT, an award-winning technology company, as well as co-founding Virtustream Inc., a venture capital-backed cloud service provider which raised over $120m in funding from several US-based venture capital institutions and was sold for $1.2B in May 2015.

He also applies his unique expertise as a non-exec to several businesses as well as working with schools on their use of technology and Universities where he works on enabling better access to education especially around STEM with an emphasis on encouraging more women into the exciting arena of science and now data!
