Today, we announced that as of 1st May 2018, Mico Systems Inc has been acquired by Calligo.

Mico Systems is based in Toronto and is a 30-strong, experienced provider of sophisticated managed services. They provide their 200+ clients with Microsoft Office 365, Azure and Dynamics CRM, plus desktops, user support, and VOIP and have built a highly successful framework for managed services.

We are thrilled to have found in Mico Systems the right partner to further the delivery of our unique service portfolio. This acquisition will allow us to add new services to our portfolio and reproduce Mico System’s methodologies and processes for managed services across all our locations, bringing our global managed services to a consistently higher level globally.

Mico Systems’ customers will also benefit from now being supported by an established, global service provider and from having new services made available to them. These will include public & hybrid cloud, data analytics, artificial intelligence and archival & erasure services, all supported by ‘privacy-first’ data management consultancy and specific data privacy regulations assistance, particularly GDPR and PIPEDA support.

Mico Systems joining Calligo is just one part of some major plans for us in Canada. In addition to the current portfolio of data optimization and privacy services, we also intend to extend our network of Azure Stacks into Canada, allowing us to offer hybrid cloud with exacting data sovereignty capabilities in the territory.

We are also delighted to announce that Mico Systems’ current management team will continue to be involved in leading the new Calligo presence in Canada. President and CEO, Scott Barrett, will take up the new role of Vice President & General Manager for Canada.
